Stem cell therapy for the treatment of hair loss and baldness is still at an experimental stage. There is no evidence from any research, internationally, that indicates that there is hair follicle development in bald persons.

The technique being tried is effected through the method of infusing stem cells that are then sequestered by adipose tissue, which contains huge quantities of mesenchymatic stem cells. The sequestration of these stem cells is achieved through the use of fat taken from the abdominal area, where the adipose tissue contains cells of unbelievable regenerative qualities and potential. These cells are then isolated and reinserted to the same patients, after being activated with special growth factors.
